Our class was approached by upcoming singer Neta, who wrote and recorded the song Blue. We were asked to create an animation music video. In addition, we were told to make this in Adobe Animate, which is my go-to tool. Every student received a little piece of the song to work with and I had communicate with the classmate before and after me about a good transition. You can clearly see everyone’s different visual style, but this adds more variation to the final product.
During the creation of my piece, I got to try a lot of different new tricks in colouring and shading which gave my animation the vibe it required for the lyrics and genre.
At the end, all the animations got mashed up together and was colour corrected as a final touch. All the animations, including mine, became more blue now, which makes the final product fit to the song better.
